As annoying as the little bitch had been, it seemed she’d been right this time. She’d been ready to leave it where it was, but Rebecca had suggested otherwise, pointing out the numerous other asinine puzzles they’d encountered in the Spencer Estate so far. She’d spotted a book just like them elsewhere in the guardhouse. Throwing the guidelines to creating ‘V-Jolt’ aside, Jill examined the empty space in the bookshelf, noticing the uniformity of the red books resting there. Although, at the moment, she was more angry that the stupid little cunt hadn’t been able to keep up. Jill felt guilty for leaving Rebecca to her doom, sure. Jill barely managed to get away herself, dashing for the door as Rebecca’s pained screams and desperate begging called after her. Unfortunately, the girl’s chewed up remains were currently filling the belly of the large, zombie shark swimming through the flooded lower section of the guardhouse. The young medic had been a whiz when it came to chemistry.
Instead, all she found was a report listing the recipe for something called ‘V-Jolt’. Holstering the spent weapon, Jill moved further into the dorm room, hoping to find extra ammunition for her pistol. The zombie shuffling towards her collapsed into a twitching heap and – thankfully – didn’t rise again. Jill Valentine cursed as her gun clicked empty.
